Compassionate Memory Care Guidance Since 2008

At Family Connect Memory Care, we understand that navigating memory loss, dementia, or Alzheimer’s care can be overwhelming for families. Since 2008, our mission has been to provide expert support, compassionate advocacy, and personalized care guidance to families facing cognitive decline in a loved one.

Founded by Lauren Mahakian, a nationally recognized memory care expert and Certified Dementia Practitioner, Family Connect is built on deep knowledge, real-world experience, and heartfelt commitment. Lauren and her team of certified memory care professionals offer in-depth care assessments, home safety evaluations, and guidance for families considering in-home memory care support or residential placement in a memory care community.

About Lauren

Lauren Mahakian

Founder | Dementia Advocate | Certified Dementian Practitioner

Lauren Mahakian founded Family Connect Care in 2008 after years of working closely with older adults and individuals living with dementia. Motivated by a deep love for the "chronologically gifted" and a commitment to dignity in aging, Lauren launched her care management practice in response to the mistreatment she witnessed within traditional memory care environments. She knew families deserved more—more compassion, more advocacy, and more personalized guidance.
